PLACING AN ORDER

If you have a desired concrete mix design in mind we will be happy to provide this ,and it will be provided on delivery the concrete that was requested. Concrete man will not be held liable if the wrong concrete mix design was used .

if you need help in chosing a concrete mix design Concete man will be happy to reccomend a mix design for your project footing, slab, base, path, etc in hand, but will not be held responsible if this is the incorrect mix design.

Any advice or recommendation given by Concrete Man to the customer as to the strength or use of the goods is followed or acted upon entirely at the customers own risk, such advice and or recommendation should not be relied upon.

HOW MUCH CONCRETE TO ORDER

Concrete Man will be happy to help work out how much concrete you will require for your project, however this is an approximate measurement only and may not be precise.

You only pay for what you use.

UNLOADING THE CONCRETE

The customer or persons receiving the concrete will be responsible on how to receive the delivery, this must be told on how they will unload the delivery at the time of order.

AFTER THE DELIVERY 

The delivery driver will stop at the amount ordered ,and re start again at the customers request and must be told when the required amount has been reached .

The delivery driver will require a wash out area to clean the chutes out a wheel barrows worth of waste water. Should this not be provided there will be a fee off £75+vat cleaning .

The driver will not be held responsible for cleaning of cars, property, drives, etc, adequate protection ie covering of cars, floors etc needs to be provided by the receiver of the delivery .

TIME OF DELIVERY 

We undertake to adhere as closely as possible to the delivery time we give however, we can not accept any liability for failure to do, or for any loss or delay occasioned by strikes, lockouts, fire, accident, delay in transit or other contingency beyond our control.

Any dates or time of day specified by the company for delivery of goods are intended to be an estimate only and time of delivery shall not be of the essence.

If for any reason the customer does not accept delivery of the goods for any reason within 15 minutes of when the goods arrive and are available for discharge at the agreed discharge point the company reserves the right to charge the customer waiting time.

the customer will provide at their expense at the place of delivery adequate and appropriate equipment, labour and access for unloading the goods.

The customer shall provide

- an authorised representative to accept the goods 

-All appropriate instructions concerning the delivery of the goods.

-all applicable documents

-a discharge point which is compliant with health and safety legislation and regulations, licenses of authorisations

- the customer will need to provide a suitable wash out area for our drivers- failure to do so will result in a £75+ vat fee 

CANCELLATION

Cancellation will only be accepted by us on condition that all costs and expenses incurred by us upto the time of cancellation, and all loss or damage resulting to us by reason of such cancellation will be reimbursed by the customer to us forthwith 

A failed delivery will result in a £100+vat fee

TERMS OF PAYMENT

Strictly  unless otherwise stated.

The property in goods shall not pass to the buyer unless full payment has been made for the whole consignment of goods. Concrete Man Ltd reserves the right to remove all goods not paid for in full from the site. Any damage caused in doing so remain the liability of the customer.

CONDITIONS AND WARRANTIES

The Company gives no warranty or guarantee, and does not promise or undertake any obligation as a condition, warranty or other term of the contract or otherwise, as to the fitness for purpose, suitability, performance, quality of merchantability of the goods or any of them. 

Save in so far as otherwise expressly stated herein or on the face of the Companys offer, The company shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury or delay whatsover. However the same may arise or be caused. whether in the performance of the contract or otherwise,

 in no circumstances shall the buyer be entitled to recover damages, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise from the company.

Concrete Man Ltd is not registered with BSR and therfore is not able to guarantee our concrete.

DELIVERY OFF PUBLIC HIGHWAY

If in order to affect  delivery on behalf of Concrete Man Ltd if the driver is required to leave the public highway and drive onto private property, this will be done at the sole reponsibilty of the customer receiver who will become fully responsible for any consequential damage that may occur to the said 

property or any part thereof Drives, paths, grass, flowers, trees, walls, buildings, vehicles. 

In the event that the vehicle becomes stuck or bogged down Concrete Man Ltd will also look to the customer for reimbursement of all vehicles recovery costs, repair or damage caused to our vehicle and loss of earnings whilst out of use..

The driver has the right to refuse delivery if he feels it is unsave,  or damage my occur to the truck etc. ,and if the delivery cant be made there will be a failed delivery chage of £100+VAT

WAIT TIME

Prices are quoted on the assumption that no unreasonable delay of discharge will occur.

unless previously agreed time upon booking

for orders upto 3m3 customer will be given 20 minutes to unload

ordrers of 3m3 - 4m3 customer will be given 30 minutes to unload

ordres of 6m3-8m3 customers will be given 45 minutes to unload

all orders 8m3-12m3 will be given 1 hour to unload.

if however the customer takes longer than the specified time given to unload they will be charged extra wait time at a charge of £2 +vat per minute for the first 15 minutes then £50 +vat every 15 minutes..

this information will be written on the delivery ticket and cstomer will be responsible for paying for any extra wait tme incured.

WORKMANSHIP LAYING OF THE CONCRETE

Concrete Man is not responsible for the laying or finishing of the concrete. only for the delivery. Resonsibility finishes when the concrete leaves the back of the truck .

WATER

Addition of extra water will reduce the strength and durability of the concrete mix. Extra water affecting strength and workability will be noted on the delivery ticket and is added only at the customers request and risk.

TESTING

Please be aware that we will need notice before the concrete is poured if you require cube testing. We will provide a fully qualified technician to carry out this procedure, but we will not take responsibility for any cube test taken by any third party.

HEALTH AND SAFETY WARNING - CONCRETE BURNS

Where skin contact occurs with wet concrete either directly or through saturated clothing, the clothing must be removed and the affected area throughly washed with clean water. If symptons persist, seek medical help immeditely.
